Tyla Officially Announces Upcoming Wizkid Feature

South African Pop/R&B/Amapiano singer, Tyla, has officially announced an upcoming feature with the legendary Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Wizkid.

She shared the news in a Facebook post on May 31st, with caption, “Wizzy Ft coming Up 🐅”.

One way to tell if a song will be a hit before a hit is to put Tyla and Wizkid in one song. We already know it’s a hit! You heard it here first!

The question now is, when will it be released, and what will it be called… For those that do not know, Wizkid previously turned down a five hundred thousand dollar ($500,000) feature for Tyla’s hit single, “Water”, as he felt that it was not a good fit for him. Fans speculate whether he would have agreed to it had he realized how big of a success it would be, as the single literally took Tyla’a career ro the next level. “Water” now has over 1 billion streams on Spotify alone…

However, Tyla later returned the same energy and rejected a two-million dollar ($2,000,000) feature in a song by Wizkid, noting that she did not like the song, citing “low creativity”. That is actually fair (if you don’t like a song, you just don’t like a song).

In a statement, Wizkid said, “She didn’t actually reject my feature request, she just gave me another chance to work with her on something better and she did it politely. I still want to work with her and I’ll work hard on another song since she did not like the one I sent…”

We are very excited to hear that they have found a song that they both like, and have decided to move forward with a collaboration.

Tyla recently won Favorite Afrobeats Artist at the 2025 American Music Awards. Congratulations to her! Wishing much more continued success.
