For songs with the same number of plays during a given week, Spotify artist popularity, listener conversion ratio (number of loyal fans who regularly listen to artist), and previous appearance(s) on a HomeBase Radio First Four Friday chart are factored in to determine chart positioning.
In the rare event that the chart falls short of 20 songs, we use the song of the most popular artist (Spotify popularity) that most recently appeared on a First Four Chart, for which the song appeared in at least one session for the charting week.
We use Chartmetric as our preferred music analytics source for this chart. All of our playlists are registered with Chartmetric. Artists and labels should ensure their artist profile is up-to-date.
