Late Hip Hop Legend DMX Releases “Know What I Am”

The late great ’X’ is still in full effect even after his untimely death in 2021. On Friday, June 24, 2022, DMX released ”Know What I Am”, which has a catchy hook with a rock vibe to it.

In the song, the late rapper/actor proclaims that he knows who he is and what he needs to do, while challenging his fans and listeners to be real, don’t front, in the second verse.

The chorus definitely gives me anthem-like vibes:

Yeah, now, every day, I wanna shinе (Wanna shine)

I wanna take it back this time (This time)

I want to (I want to), ’cause I know what I am

But I’m gotta focus on the grind

Go ahead and don’t look back, just climb (Just climb)

And I will (and I will), ’cause I know what I stand for

Yes… It’s most definitely an anthem for anyone that needs that extra push to succeed.

Everyone needs that extra push, especially athletes! It’s been placed on HomeBase Radio’s ”Sports Hype Hop” Spotify playlist.

As an ‘X’ fan, I have no doubt that this song was meant to be an anthem, and will even be on a future movie soundtrack…

I’m so hype. I wanna growl now…. Grrrrrrrrr…

LONG LIVE ❌.
