Swimwear Company Sues Chris Brown for Alleged Trademark Infringement of “Breezy Bowl” Name

A 17-page lawsuit was filed in Florida on Wednesday, July 30th, against Chris Brown, Live Nation, and Shopify, by a swimsuit line by the name of Breezy Swimwear Inc. The company is based in Miami.

They are alleging that there has been “copycat branding”, as they say that Chris Brown has Breezy Bowl concert swimsuit merchandise that might confuse the consumer and cause damage to their brand’s reputation. They have their own annual “Breezy Bowl” event featuring a special line of swimsuits surrounding their event. They started hosting their annual event in 2023.

We checked the trademark database, and the application filing date of the swimwear company’s trademark for the name “Breezy Bowl” for goods and services is dated July 29, 2025. The application status is pending.

Chris Brown announced his Breezy Bowl XX tour in March 2025, and the international leg of the tour kicked off in June. The U.S. leg of the tour’s first date was July 30th in Miami, FL, where the Breezy Swimwear company is based.

Per the lawsuit documents showing images of the alleged merch website in question and our review of that website’s products, there are some swimwear items with text written on them thay say “Team Breezy”, “Team Breezy XX”, “I ❤️ CB”. None of the swimwear items are titled or include the words “Breezy Bowl”.

However, it is unclear whether that the alleged website is an official merch website of Chris Brown’s or his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour at all, because the website containing merchandise linked to his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour is called chrisbrownworld.com (which can be accessed via his Instagram profile), does not contain any swimwear items. His official merch website containing merchandise linked to his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour is called chrisbrownworldstore.com, also does not contain any swimwear.

Tickets to Chris Brown’s Breezy Bowl concert can be purchased on the official website, https://www.chrisbrownworld.com/tour/.
