Central Cee’s Met Gala Freestyle Goes Viral

UK rapper Central Cee’s Met Gala freestyle is causing a stir on the internet.

With over 10 million views in under 24 hrs on Instagram alone, his freestyle has gone viral and it’s not just because it was probably the first freestyle at the Met Gala.

His bars in it is what seems to have caught the attention of most, as he starts it off the 1:51 freestyle with:

“I know I never said I’d go to the Met, but tonight I’m tryna see what famous h*es I can get.”

…👀 Wooooo!!!

It caught the attention of Drake, who commented with 6 face masks 😷😷😷😷😷😷, and does not appear to be because Central Cee’s homeboy was wearing a face mask next to him in the freestyle. Fans seem to think he replied with face masks because of Central Cee’s beginning lyrics, as in ‘Nah bro, no you don’t wanna see how many you can get’ lol.

Central Cee’s next bars were just as controversial:

“I’ve had s*x 4 times this week, I’ll explain,

My excuse is that I’m tryna get over my ex.”

Fans are not sure what ex here, because he was dating Madeline Argy for 2 years before hooking up with Ice Spice, who is now romantically linked to New York Jets player Sauce Gardner. However, during the time that Cee was said to be involved with Ice Spice, she had publicly went on record stating that they were just friends.

It also caught the attention of New York rap legend, Busta Rhymes, who appeared to be feeling it, replying with 9 fire emojis 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (yall know we count).

The controversial freestyle has not only gone viral, but it has caught HomeBase Promotions’ attention as well.

They will be playing it Live Friday, May 9th on the Freestyle Fridays show, as co-hosts DONdada and Shawn of StraightofficialFreestyles react to it.

Central Cee is featured on our “International Vibes” and “UK Drill” playlists on HomeBase Radio Spotify.
