Cardi B has been found not liable and cleared of all assault allegations in her civil suit by a jury in Los Angeles. Former security guard, Emani Ellis, had sued Cardi for $24 million, accusing that she had cut her on her cheek with her fingernail while outside of an obstetrician’s office while Cardi was pregnant in 2018, and that she had spat on her. She also alleged that Cardi had called her racial slurs, using the n word.
In court Cardi was very vocal about the alleged claims, stating that her ex-security guard just wanted money.
Her facial expressions and blunt responses went viral throughout the case. At one point when Cardi was asked if she considered herself to be African American, Cardi had answered that she considers herself “Afro Caribbean”. Some fans had got upset, but Cardi was just keeping it real, as her father is from the Dominican Republic, and her mother is from Trinidad.
Her highly anticipated album, ‘Am I The Drama?’ releases September 19th.
