”Boots on the Ground” Singer Gets Co-Sign From Beyoncé and Michelle Obama [Videos]

South Carolina singer 803Fresh received a co-sign from Beyoncé, who partially performed a mashup of his viral hit single, “Boots on the Ground” at her concert while on her Cowboy Carter tour.

The blues singer said he was schocked and didn’t realize that she even knew his song.


In a Facebook post on April 29, that was also shared on his Instagram, he posted a clip frim her concert, and wrote:

“From a small town like Wagener, SC… this moment was overwhelming and a shock to me. To have Beyoncé even know what my song is — let alone do a piece of it — made me so ecstatic. Unbelievable to hear Boots on the Ground performed on one of the biggest stages in the world by the Queen. I’m so excited to see what the future holds! {fan emoji} {cowboy emoji}”

2 days later, on April 30th, while attending Tina Knowles’ memoir book tour event in Washington, DC, he received another co-sign, this time from former First Lady Michelle Obama, as she announced that “Boots on the Ground” is one of Tina’s favorite songs. The music then began to play and Michelle led Tina in a dance to the song.

The re-released version of the song currently has over 2.9 million streams on Spotify and counting. There is a trending line dance that goes with the song that has grown viral on its own and has enthusiasts buying fans all across the nation.

Last week, 803Fresh was a guest on the popular morning show, The Breakfast Club, where he showed the hosts how to do his “Boots on the Ground” dance.

The song was originally released on December 20, 2024, and was re-released on April 23, 2025 as a 3-track single, to include instructional and instrumental versions.
