Baldwin Park’s Lefty Gunplay, Capitalizes Off of His “tv off” Feature with Merch

Ever since being featured in Kendrick Lamar’s hit single, “tv off”, from his top-selling ‘GNX’ album, Baldwin Park, California native, Lefty Gunplay has been experiencing lots of momentum. As you may or may not know, Lefty is the voice of the popular “Crazy, Scary, Spooky, Hilarious” lyrics in the song.

Lefty is now selling merch linked to his words in the song on a website called www.crazyspooky.com. The website consists of 2 products, a t-shirt that retails at $50 USD, and a sweatshirt that is selling for $95 USD.

Musically, since his feature on “tv off”, Lefty has skyrocketed to an impressive 568,000 Spotify listeners, and has since released a single called “Walk Down”, under OTR Records, featuring Dody6 (who is featured on the ‘GNX’ “hey now” track), X4, and FBEAT. On YouTube, he also just released the official music video to his song, “Gilbert Arenas”. He touts Empire product in the video, hinting at a distribution deal. He has released 4 albums in 2024.

As of the time of this article, “tv off” has sold over 1 million units in the United States. It holds a 91 popularity score on Spotify, is
featured in 495 YouTube playlists, 139 Apple Music playlists, 78 Amazon Music playlists, 26 Deezer playlists, and an extraordinary 15,400 Spotify playlists. It has had over 23,000 airplay spins in the past month.
