Cardi B released a flaming hot song featuring Lil Durk and Ye called “Hot Sh*t” on July 1, 2022, and the internet is all over it. Despite the music video not being available at the time of the song’s release, which Cardi voiced her frustrations about during an interview with Angie Martinez, the outpour of love for the song is evident in fans’ reactions. The steaming hot cover art alone is enough to sweat over.
The unlikely collaboration between hip hop artists from different spectrums of subgenres of hip hop is amazing. You got Cardi who is the more mainstream hip hop artist of the three, you got Lil Durk who is trap, and then you have Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), who turned gospel hip hop. Who would have ever thought those three would have ever linked in one song? Oh but they did, and it came out fiyah.
The song is most likely the best hip hop uptempo song of Summer 2022, but if it is not that, it is most definitely the best collaboration.
