Tank is Not Pleased with His New Song with Aaliyah: “This is Not It, I’m Out.” [Music Video]

R&B singer Tank has a new song out with the late singer Aaliyah, but he says he did not approve it prior to the release:

“..”Gone” featuring myself was supposed to be something good to preserve and continue the legacy of the amazing Aaliyah… This is not it. I’m out..

He posted his official statement on Instagram.

The song was released Friday, August 1, under Blackground Records 2.0 label. It is the same label she was signed with at her death on August 25th, 2001.

Aaliyah fans are overall displeased about the song and also complaining about the lack of quality in the vocals. Some fans are requesting that the song be taken down immediately.

There is also a music video to the song that was posted on Blackground Records 2.0 YouTube:

It is unclear at this time whether the song will remain published or if it will be removed.
