Drake recently held his “Drizzmas Giveaway” Thursday, December 26th, on a Kick livestream, where he gave away hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts to viewers.
Among the grandest of the prizes was his $250,000 gift to a Toronto single mother who is also a medical student in college that has been struggling with debt.
He also gave a Chicago fireman and father of three a car and $25,000, as well as other cool prizes like a dream vacation, car, tickets and trip to his Australia concert, and more.
He hosted the livestream as part of his ongoing partnership with Stake, and it was held alongside popular livestreamer, Adin Ross.
During the promotion of his livestream, Drake referenced his experience recording the music video to his hit single, “God’s Plan”, where he gave away close to $1 million in the city of Miami. He mentioned how he was excited to do the “Drizzmas” giveaway.
On Thursday night, Drake shared with Adin his desire to host a “God’s Plan” TV series where he visits 10 places per year, as he teams up with billionaires to give away money. In doing so, the billionaires would have a chance to match a face with the people that they are giving to, rather than just giving random donations.
He mentioned Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos, as a possible billionaire that he might like to team up with for the show, and asked for others to reach out to him if interested.
Despite the generous giveaways, the recent beef between him and Kendrick Lamar still seemed to be at the top of his mind as well, as spectators noticed that at one point of the livestream, Drake seemed to shade K. Dot, by almost saying “F*** Kendrick”, but stopping himself before the full pronunciations of the “F” and “K” words could be heard.
Lol Drake, let’s stick to the good “giveaway” vibes and positive energy, and tune out the negativity in 2025, okay? …Okay?
