Jay-Z has been trending recently after 50 Cent posted a side-by-side comparison photo of him and a 31-year old man by the name of Rymir Satterthwaite who has been claiming to be Jay-Z’s son since 2010.
50 Cent’s since-deleted post contained the photo with text on it that at first glance looked like it had came from an article, titled:
“Jay z is trending because the Judge has granted Raymir request to move forward with his case! And the judge has demanded Jay z to respond to Raymir paternity lawsuit! By July 18th ..”
The caption read:
“Can somebody help me with this one, what does this man want? He is a 34 year old man, there is no back child support. Why exactly does he want!
But we’re all thinking the same thing 👀 that is his nose. LOL”
However, the image was a meme, not an actual article title. His post was later deleted.
A quick background on what recently transpired with respect to the paternity issue:
Rymir’s mother Wanda, who is deceased, claimed to have a romance with Jay-Z in 1992 at the age of 16 while he was 22, and told her son that he was the result of it.
In 2010, she had requested that a Pennsylvania court make Jay-Z and another man take a paternity test to determine who Rymir’s father was. It was determined at that time that the other man was not Rymir’s father. Jay-Z never took the paternity test, however, and according to Rymir, has been avoiding taking it for over a decade.
Rymir, who is a father of three, recently filed claims against the court system alleging that individuals within the system have been obstructing his efforts. He said in an interview with DailyMail that he is not chasing fame from Jay-Z, he just wants to get the matter done. He previously voiced that he feels Jay-Z is “scared” to take a DNA test because his mother was underage at the time. His mother told him they had used protection, but that the condom had broken.
Nicki Minaj, who claims that Jay-Z owes her millions of dollars, joined in on the roast.
In an X post on July 8th, she tweeted the meme that 50 Cent had shared, with the caption:
“Is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. To God be the glory.”
She later tweeted how much she believes that Jay-Z owes her:
“We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho. Let’s get it n****.
And anyone still calling him Hov will answer to God for the blasphemy.”
Once she receives her money, she says she plans to use some of it to pay for some Barbz to attend college, pay their school fees, and student loans:
